Episode 3 - Two Hats for the Holidays

Image
Episode 3 features two easy, quick-to-knit patterns that will be great for gift knitting, donation knitting, or just for keeping cozy! Something I forgot to mention - when sewing a seam on a project where the cuff is turned up, like the simple hat, it's easiest to start sewing the seam on the wrong side, from the crown down to the top of the cuff, then turn the hat inside out and finish sewing down to the bottom of the cuff. That way when you turn up the cuff, the cuff seam will not be visible.  These are the little dowels I was trying to find for the pompon demo. They are 2" by 3/8". Very handy - from the craft store.   Show Notes The Firebreak Trail Hat – Designed by Christina of Bluestockinette Designs - https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/firebreak-trail-hat Malabrigo Chunky Yarn - https://malabrigoyarn.com/yarns/chunky Yarnology, Winona, MN - https://yarnologymn.com/ Araucania Huasco Chunky Yarn - https://knittingfever.com/araucania/yarn/E-HUACKET Webs ...

Episode 2 - Throwback Thursday

Image
Thank you for all the kind words and encouragement to keep going with this endeavor. I will add an update - after this episode I looked at a few more volumes of the Make it Yourself Books, and decided to just donate them without saving any of the patterns. I had a trip to town for several errands and was able to donate this large box of books (20 volumes) and two pieces of cat furniture that George and Gracie never used. Three bulky items gone at once - tip of the iceberg! Episode 1 - The Baby Sophisticate Sweater

Image
Welcome! I hope you enjoy this new venture - I could talk about knitting - and other creative interests, all day long, and this seemed like a good way to share my enthusiasm with others. Bear with me through the growing pains of learning the ins and outs of YouTube, and getting back into blogging a bit. YouTube may not let me have live links for a month or two, but that restriction is what led to this space, which makes me a bit happier anyway, being able to share still photos and extra blather here! Welcome!

Welcome! I decided to create a space for my YouTube podcast that would have show notes, live links, still photos, and other content that doesn't quite fit into the description space from the YouTube site. This may be easier to navigate for some (for me!) than rummaging around YouTube.  To that end - here is my obligatory photo of George and Gracie - my constant companions! George is the tiger, Gracie is the solid grey.
